The Queen's advisers have told MPs that Jeremy Corbyn should not be addressed as “Right Honourable” until he becomes a member of the body.
It is alleged that 10 Downing Street had wrongly suggested that the Labour leader had joined the Privy Council. The Parliament's website also address Corbyn as “Right Honourable”, which was later removed. The title, “Right Honourable” announces membership of the Privy Council.
