Three out of four workers have been eating the same lunch every day for the past nine months, a study shows. One in six have been eating the same meal for the past two years.
The ham sandwich is the most common repeat lunch, ahead of cheese sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, baguettes and salad, the poll of 2,000 adults by New Covent Garden Soup finds. Egg sandwiches, pasta and jacket potatoes are also among the lunchtime staples.
A staggering 84% of people are ‘bored’ by their lunch choices and 31% even said other people have noticed and commented on their ‘boring’ lunches.
