On 2nd January, at around 11:30pm, a 20-year-old man has been stabbed more than ten times after he was ambushed by a gang as he tried to search for refuge. The victim was reportedly chased by a group consisting of four to five men along Elliot Drive and into Eastway Crescent, Harrow, where he was attacked by the men as he tried to ask for help at one of the homes.

Although his injuries are described as not life-threatening, the victim suffered a lot of blood loss and received treatment from the London Ambulance Service before being taken to a hospital.

Regarding this incident, Detective Sergeant Amar Patel, from Harrow CID said, “This was a vicious unprovoked attack on a young male who had been enjoying an evening with friends when he was chased, ambushed and repeatedly stabbed by a group of males for an unknown reason. We have already spoken to lots of people in the area about the incident, but I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the attack and hasn't spoken to us about it yet to come forward. Any detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem, will help us to identify those responsible and bring them to justice. Any information given to us will be treated in strict confidence.”

The gang has been described as black males in their late teens who wore dark clothing. No arrests have been made so far.

If you are a witness or have information regarding the incident, call Harrow CID on 101 or Tweet @MetCC. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously at crimestoppers-uk.org or call them on 0800 555 111.
