The Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry take place on this weekend- with last minute preparations and confusions about the bride's father's attendance. The ceremony, which takes place on Saturday May 19, will be held in Windsor. This will be followed by a carriage procession and two receptions, including a private one at Frogmore House in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The Prince and Ms Markle have broken tradition by choosing to hold their wedding on a Saturday, as royal weddings usually take place during the week. Britons won't be getting a day off, although pubs and bars will be allowed to stay open until 1am on the night before (May 18) and the day of the wedding.

The daily newspapers have listed the schedule of the day in details. The service will take place at St George's Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Members of the public who have been invited to watch from the grounds of Windsor Castle will begin to arrive from 9am. Instructions ban cameras, adding that guests will be asked to "surrender mobile telephones and any devices used for image capture".

Ms Markle has chosen her mother, Doria, to travel with her to the wedding, travelling from their overnight accommodation to St George’s Chapel by car. Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra is believed to be on the guest list.
