Sikhs arrested for knife altercation in Southall

On Tuesday 19th January, two Sikhs from Southall were charged following a large altercation in the King Street area. The Metropolitan Police were called at around 00:20hrs on Sunday, 17 January, to reports of a large group of around 30 men fighting with various weapons, including knives and swords, in the area.

Officers attended and arrested 22-year-old Sukwir Singh and 29-year-old Lakha Singh of Norwood Gardens charging them with affray and threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place. There were no reported injuries. Both appeared at Willesden Magistrates' Court and were remanded in custody to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday, 15 February.
