Pair from Birmingham and London arrested over alleged attack plan

A 20-year-old man from north London, and a 21-year-old man from southeast Birmingham have been arrested on 29th November by counterterrorism police over an “Islamist plot”. It is said that the duo were inspired by online propaganda and were planning for an alleged sophisticated attack.

It is said that the suspects had been discussing a range of methods, including bomb-making, however, they had not bought chemicals. Although there were firearms officers during the arrest, indicating a high level of seriousness to the case, it is said that the type of attack the suspects had allegedly been planning is unknown.

Police continues to raid the suspects residence in both cities.
