UK based award-winning travel agency Moresand Group hosted its 23rd annual 'Beat The New Year's Blues' luncheon and champagne reception on 9th January 2020.
Held at the Le Meridien Piccadilly in London, the prestigious event was attended by 180 airlines and suppliers of Moresand Group from the travel industry. One of the largest independently owned travel agents in the UK and with a turnover of £212m in 2019 Moresand Limited offers flights, hotels, packaged holidays and cruises to leading destinations in the world. It was founded in 1987 and has been headquartered in London’s West End since inception.
Managing Director PS Kang said "I would like to thank all our airlines for their partnership and all Moresand employees for their hard work in 2019. We’re incredibly excited about 2020 and are optimistic for another positive year".
In Q4 2019 Moresand appointed former Wendy Wu Tours group chief executive Joe Karbo as chief operating officer, being responsible for the Groups operations. PS Kang said: "Joe will spearhead our long-term strategy by streamlining global operating processes, expansion into new markets and supporting the company’s technology teams. We’re delighted to have someone of Joe’s experience and knowledge on board.”
Moresand was also celebrating the launch of its new brand Love Cuba, which is being led by Damien O’Brien, who has 25 years’ experience in the niche Cuban market. The brands under the Moresand umbrella include Crystal Travel, Travel Center, Crystal Corporate, Paramount Cruises, Affordable Luxury Travel, Sam Travel, Travel House UK and World Airfares.
With offices in 10 locations across the world Moresand Group also employs over 600 staff in its call centres in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
