Jeremy Corbyn's election campaign raised £4000,000 in a single day on Thursday, with the donors giving an average of £22. The Labour received more than 10,000 online donations from the members of the public and are calling it “the biggest day of online fundraising British politics has ever seen.”

The drive has raised £3 million since the election was called in mid April. The Labour sent emails to supporters calling for donations to “kick (the Tories) out of Number 10.”

A Labour source also said “people-powered campaign shows how the British people can come together to change an economy rigged for the super-rich.” People were urged to click on buttons offering to pay £5, £10, £20 or more, that lead to a donations page.
