Following news that Johnson tested positive for coronavirus, the secretary of state for health and social care, Matt Hancock, has also confirmed he has the virus. In a video, he tweeted,

"I have been working from home for the last few days. Following medical advice, I was advised to test for #Coronavirus. I have tested positive. Thankfully my symptoms are mild and I will be self-isolating myself at home until next Thursday. It is important that we all work from home if we can. Vital we follow the advice to protect our NHS & save lives #StayHomeSaveLives."

In a latest video British Prime Minister confirmed that he had developed mild symptoms over the last 24 hours and tested positive for coronavirus. Boris Johnson tweeted a video where he said,

“Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus. Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives”

Following the announcement, iTV shared a video where Johnson's chief political advisor, Dominic Cummings is seen running away from No.10. A few days ago The Times had reported an of-the-record statement wherein Cummings had apparently said that if there was a choice between saving the young and the old then, the old pensioners could be compromised.

The announcement comes following Clarence House’s announcement that Prince of Wales had also tested positive for the virus. Although, he had contracted the virus, the 70-year-old Prince Charles is said to be healthy and working from home.
