Quraishi, of his research he conducted during his tenure as the FICCI Visiting Fellow at the India Institute, King's College, over the past few weeks.

In this FICCI 2015 lecture, Dr Quraishi presented the findings of his study on challenges to democracy in South and Southeast Asian Countries. He was content for having chosen this subject instead of going through an easier route. Dr Quraishi said, “I am glad I chose this subject and I realised that this is indeed a very important subject.”

Speaking about democracy, Dr Quraishi stated, “At least 60% of the world's democracy live in South Asia. Are you giving it enough importance? If not, you need to think.”
