Jay Chudasama, 28, who was two-and-a-half times the alcohol limit when he drove at 71mph on a 60mph road in Hayes, West London, and killed three teenagers while they walked to a birthday party, has been jailed for 13 years.

Chudasama, from Hayes, a car hire worker, who also had traces of cannabis in his system, pleaded guilty to three counts of causing death by dangerous driving at the Old Bailey.

Harry Rice, 17, George Wilkinson, 16, and Josh McGuinness, 16, were in a group of eight friends walking to a 16th birthday party at Goals five-a-side football club on 26th January at around 8:40pm. They lost their lives after being hit head-on by Chudasama as he lost control of the car.

Speaking in court, Josh McGuinness' mother, Tracy Blackwell said, “On January 26 2018, our world collapsed. There are no adequate words to describe the pain, anger, despair and loss that I feel from Josh's death. I feel tortured everyday. My family and I have been given life sentences. We will never live ordinary lives again. I feel battered and bruised and scarred for life.”

Speaking about the event that led to her son's death, she said, “Mr Chudasama hit our children at speed and killed our boys who were walking on the pavement where they should have been safe. Instead of trying to help the children he chose to run away. I do not believe he is at all sorry for what he has done. If he was, his behaviour would have been very different.”
