Kishan Devani FRSA has been appointed the Vice-President of the Liberal Democrats Campaign for Race Equality at the Houses of Parliament.
The Liberal Democrat Campaign for Race Equality embraces the Liberal Democrats' aim to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, seeking to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity, upholding values of individual and social justice, rejecting all prejudice and discrimination based upon race, colour, religion, age, disability, sex or sexual orientation, and opposing all forms of entrenched privilege and inequality. In particular we are dedicated to the elimination of racial inequality.
Chairman of LDCRE, Roderick Lynch said, “After our Executive meeting at the House of Lords on Tuesday 3rd June. I am pleased to announce that Kishan Devani was appointed Vice President of LDCRE. I look forward to working with Kishan & our President Baroness Hussein-Ece, who make up our presidential dream team in what will be an exciting future for the organisation.”
Kishan after his appointment as Vice-President of LDCRE said, “I am truly honoured to be appointed Vice-President of the Liberal Democrats Campaign for Race Equality. I look forward to working alongside passionate & dedicated Chairman Roderick Lynch & President Baroness Meral Hussein-Ece who is also the Liberal Democrat Party Spokesperson on Equalities. Promoting Equality and Diversity is something I have always felt passionate about, it shall be an immense pleasure to be able to serve as Vice-President.”
