Jaitley to attend FICCI event and NRI Foundation dinner on Friday

FICCI, the High Commission of India and the UK India Business Council are holding an exclusive event on Friday 13 March which will be attended by Shri Arun Jaitley. FICCI President Dr Jyotsna Suri said: “FICCI compliments the Finance Minister for his foresight and for presenting a highly progressive and visionary budget.” She is leading a high-level delegation of CEOs from India to the UK alongside the visit.

Following that, the Finance Minister will attend a dinner hosted by Baroness Sandip Verma, on behalf of the NRI Foundation. The Foundation that is chaired by her husband Mr Ashok Kumar Verma, believes in maintaining bonds between India and the people of Indian origin. They believe it is an emotional need for overseas Indians; and has economic advantages for India, helping in good bilateral relations between India and the country where the overseas Indian are domiciled.

Patrons of this organisation include Baroness Verma, Lord Popat, Lord Rana, Lord Hameed, Lord Noon, S P Hinduja, G P Hinduja, Sri Prakash Lohia and Rajesh Satiija Ram. The advisory board includes dignitaries like Priti Patel Mp, Virendra Sharma MP, Seema Malhotra MP, Alok Sharma MP to name a few.
