Indian Foreign Secretary visits UK

The Indian Foreign Secretary Dr. S. Jaishankar visited the UK on 23-24 February, 2016 to attend the Extraordinary Meeting of the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group of which India is a member.

During the visit, he had bilateral meetings with Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Rt. Hon. Oliver Letwin MP, Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Rt. Hon. Hugo Swire MP and UK National Security Adviser Sir Mark Lyall Grant and to discuss the follow-up actions on decisions reached during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the UK in November 2015 and other issues of mutual interest.

The Secretary also interacted with a select group of scholars and editors on a range of topics, including India’s foreign policy and regional and global issues of contemporary importance.
