Here are some of the actions set out by the Inclusive Britain strategy:

1. Trust- Trust will be built amongst people from ethnic minority backgrounds acknowledging failings where they have occurred, will improve actions, behaviours and systems that led to the loss of the trust and will adapt honesty and transparency in communication from government.

2. Online racial abuse - With the help of the Online Safety Bill that was introduced in the parliament on March 17, the government is planning to clamp down on online racial abuse.

3. Communication - In a bid to improve its communication around racial issues, the government will stop using the term BAME.

4. Police force - The Home Office will develop a new national framework by summer 2023, with policing partners including Police and Crime Commissioners.

5. Ethnicity Pay Gap - The plan will ensure that ethnic minority groups are not being treated unfairly, discriminated against or less likely to progress in the workplace.

6. Families - To expand the Supporting Families programme to support families affected by multiple and complex problems, the government will invest £200 million.

7. Inclusion - With the help of history curriculum experts, historians and school leaders, the DfE will develop a Model History curriculum by 2024 “that will stand as an exemplar for a knowledge-rich, coherent approach to the teaching of history”.
