Britain’s economy contracted during the first quarter of 2021 due to the lockdown restrictions, however, a report published in The Times stated that “figures are also expected to show that the economy grew 1.3 per cent in March, completing the Office for National Statistics’ first estimate for the first quarter.” The economy allegedly grew by 0.4 per cent in February, after a 2.9 percent drop in January. As bars and restaurants are about to breathe with some relaxation in lockdown restrictions, this growth is further expected to improve.
