Britain: Official figures reveal that gout and malnutrition, diseases which were prevalent in the Victorian era have returned and are currently at a high level.
Gout and malnutrition are associated with indulgence, and over eating and drinking. Gout has afflicted many of our British monarchs, including King Henry VIII. There have been a rise in the number of people being admitted to hospital suffering from malnourishment.
