The funds raised from the art exhibition and auctions will be going towards continuing the operations of the emergency kitchen in Nepal, which was set up by the Akshaya Patra Foundation.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation is an organisation that strives to tackle the issues of hunger and malnutrition in India. They aim to fight not only hunger, but also to increase the enrolment of children in schools.

The Foundation feeds free school meals to 1.4 children everyday and they aim to reach 5 million children by 2020.

Akshaya Patra set up an emergency relief kitchen near Kathmandu after the devastating earthquakes. The foundation can provide 100,000 meals on a daily basis for the poverty stricken survivors from the earthquake near Kathmandu.
