Primary school pupils in Queens Park got quite a royal surprise to see a Duchess in their classrooms.

The Duchess of Cambridge stole into Salusbury Primary School, in Salusbury Road, to shoot a video in support of the first Children’s Mental Health Week. The Duchess is patron of Place2be, a mental health charity providing emotional support to children in schools.

The mother-of-two asked the pupils if they had friends they could talk to and whether they enjoyed activities such as art.

She said: “Every child deserves to grow up knowing their potential and feeling confident they won’t fall over at the first hurdle.
