Drivers using phone behind wheels to face tougher fines

As part of a new road safety plan, motorists who are caught using a mobile phone while holding it when driving their vehicle could face stricter fines and penalties.

Those who break this law will be fined £150, an increase from the current fine of £100, as well as have more points added to their licence.
