Dawn Charitable Trust is organising a charity even named ‘Shakti Bazaar' on 2 September at the Harrow Civic Centre from 11am-3pm to create an opportunity for women entrepreneurs to come together, meet each other, exchange ideas and thoughts and gain synergistic networks to further inspire and empower each other.
Dawn Charitable Trust is a registered charity that works toward strengthening the communities by offering emotional and mental health and promoting social wellbeing through creation of various social inclusion opportunities. Dawn was founded as a voluntary group founded by likeminded professionals to close the gap in provision of culturally and linguistically appropriate public services for meeting the needs of socially isolated Asian women. Majority of these women were newly arrived migrants displaced from homeland in East Africa.
Dawn’s aim was to create a one-stop platform for these isolated women to meet in a culturally sensitive environment, access information and advice, meet and socialise with others and, participate in the educational, cultural and recreational opportunities and access counselling support to improve their emotional and mental health and quality of life.
