Curry house workers have been accused of battering a customer with a baseball bat during a row over an unpaid bill.

Staff from Zeera in Stowmarket, Suffolk, allegedly attacked a diner over an £83 meal.

Shocking pictures show a man being smashed across the back with the wooden bat, with witnesses claiming others shouted: 'Pay the f****** money now.'

The photos show three men pinning the diner up against a brick wall as they throw a number of punches.

It is believed the man's friend then tried to intervene and drag one of the attackers away, but a fourth arrived on the scene with the wooden bat.

A source told the Sun: 'It began when the customer was unhappy with the standard of food.

'He and his pals walked out but waiters followed and appear to have laid into him.'

The manager of Zeera has since claimed that four people had refused to pay for their meal and hurled racial abuse at staff.

Police later confirmed that two men had been arrested on suspicion of assault and were released pending further inquiries.
