Four University of Hertfordshire Fashion students were presented with awards for their innovative designs, by some of the biggest names in the fashion industry, (Ted Baker, F&F, Maria Grachvogel and Ally Capellino) at the annual Graduate Fashion Show, held on 16 May at the Chelsea Old Town Hall.
Sameeta Shrestha, one of the student designers won the The Ally Capellino Award for Most Creative Use of Fabric for her use of matte and colour combinations in her collection, inspired by architecture - particularly buildings in Dubai. She went into soft tailoring, drawing inspiration from Delpozo which encouraged her use of colour.
Sameeta added: “It feels great to have received this award. All the hard work - investing the time and money in the fabric - has all paid off. To see it come to life is just brilliant.”
Sameeta Shrestha's Graduate Collections Brand name is "Rejuvenate."
Sameeta, who is a Nepalese origin British Asian started shining as a creative soul from a young age, being a co-founder of Friendship Global with her sister at the early age of 6 and 8 years, aiming to achieve and create "Global Harmony through Local Friendship."
