The cast list has been announced for the much anticipated 'Bend it like Beckham' musical. Previewing in the West End from the May 2015, Gurinder Chadha's multicultural hit film will be rendered 3D, live on stage. After a heat of auditions, Natalie Dew is set to play the main role of feisty footballer Jess with Lauren Samuels stepping into the elegant shoes of Keira Knightley's Jules. Jamie Campbell Bower will play the pivotal role of Joe, coach of the local women's football team 'The Harriers' while the rest of the cast will feature some exciting familiar faces:
Comedienne Ronni Ancona will play Jules' mum while Jamal Andreas will play Tony, Jess' gay best friend. Preeya Kalidas who appeared in the original film as one of the cousins, will take on the role of Pinky, Jess’ sister. Finally, Tony Jayawardena and Natasha Jayetileke will gear up for the all important parts of Jess' parents, Mr and Mrs Bhamra.
