The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has stated that he was left doubting the presence of God during the massacre in Paris.

He was left questioning God's whereabouts when the French victims were in great need of his help. He admits that this has put a “chink in his armour”.

The Archbishop of Canterbury said, “... I was out and as I was walking I was praying and saying: 'God why- why is this happening? Where are you in all this?' and then engaging and talking to God. Yes, I doubt.”
