Rishi Sunak hosted an Eid reception at Downing Street acknowledging the generous contributions of the Muslim community during the month of Ramzan. Their contribution benefitted the needy in both the UK and outside the country. He admired the community’s active participation in the country’s business, armed forced and NHS. Their support for the victims of earthquake in Turkey and Syria were also mentioned.
The celebration was attended by community leaders and representatives and was one of the several events arranged for the Muslim community in the last three months of Sunak’s term.
