British boxer Amir Khan’s parents have come down heavily on his wife (Faryal Makhdoom Khan) for wearing un-Islamic clothes while denying she has suffered domestic abuse as claimed by her.

Twenty-five-year-old Faryal claimed last week that for the past three years she had been bullied “physically and mentally” by her in-laws.

Denying the allegations of violence made by Faryal, Amir Khan’s parents (Falak and Sajjad) – in an interview to Geo News – claimed they never laid a hand on her and treated Faryal like their own daughter.

Khan’s father Sajjad said: “Faryal was adopting a dress code which in the Islamic faith was not acceptable. We kept asking Amir to tell her not to adopt such a dress code. And even if she had to wear such dresses, please don’t post it on social media.”

Last week Faryal launched a Snapchat rant in which she accused her in-laws of trying to destroy her marriage. She claimed the “abuse” took place while she was pregnant with their daughter.
