A national audit has found that more than half of stillbirths in Britain could be avoided if midwives acted on warnings from parents, or stopped making basic errors. In the developed world, the UK has been ranked as 33rd out of 35 for stillbirths, which has led to ministers calling for “urgent change”.
The study also suggest that if Britain handled the issues in care, about 500 lives could be saved. This indicated that Britain allegedly has one of the worst safety records amongst developed nations.
