Meet & Greet

This event will be a platform for all of us to come closer and understand each other in a better way to recall our Culture, Values and Morals. Through this event, we want to Meet, Greet and Honour Shree Govind bhai Dholakia, a Visionary Leader, Diamond Baron, and Philanthropist from India.
Shri Govind Dholakia is the Founder & Chairman of Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd (SRK), a global diamond company with 6,000+ team members.
His contribution has touched several thousands of people’s lives through selfless social welfare work over five decades. Under his various Trusts, over 3 million people have received financial support for Educational Scholarships and Medical exigencies.
He is frequently invited by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Delhi and other nationally renowned institutions and universities as a Motivational Speaker.
SRK’s state-of-the-art crafting facilities, USGBC green buildings, are situated in Surat, India, and its HQ is in Mumbai. Driven by his far-sighted vision and entrepreneurial spirit, SRK boasts several domestic and international achievements, awards and recognition.
He was born into an agrarian family in the village of Dudhala and has formal education till the 7th standard. Thereafter, in 1964 he started working as a diamond cutter to support his family. With his two friends, he set up SRK in 1976, which now culminated as ‘Numero Uno’ in the diamond world.
He instituted the ‘Santokbaa Humanitarian Award’ in 2006 in memory and honour of his mother. This award has been conferred to 13 eminent personalities for their humanitarian work, including Ratan Tata, Dalai Lama, Kailash Satyarthi, Father Valles and others.
He was honoured with the “Leadership Award” by US Green Building Council (USGBC) in the year 2017 in the presence of 42nd American President Mr Bill Clinton.
His ideologies like “I am nothing, but I can do anything” and “Problem is Progress” has laid the foundation for his success and inspired many in their lives.
His life is held together by a guiding philosophy of life or what he calls the Triads of life. This involves three fundamental beliefs, namely that honesty and ethics should inform all human activities, that there is a God or an unseen force that permeates everything, and, finally, that the family should be at the centre of one’s life.
His recently published autobiography, ‘Diamond are forever, so are morals’ narrates his life sketch including his proximity to the Indian Prime Minister, Indian Presidents and Indian Business Leaders. He is a fine human being, warm-hearted, independently minded, thoughtful, decisive, concerned with those who are weak and vulnerable, proud of his workers whom he associates with the conduct of his business, and committed to his extended family. It is common to think that a successful businessperson is rarely a morally decent human being. His life shows the opposite and affirms the old maxim, “Yoga is being successful at managing one’s life”.
