Two Sikhs killed in US, community demands probe

Washington: Two Sikh Americans have been killed in separate incidents in California, according to community organisations. In the first incident, Subag Singh, 68, was found dead in a canal after he went missing. His body had injuries. The enforcement officials said that they were trying to find out who was responsible for the murder. In the second incident, Simranjit Singh, 20, of Elk Grove was shot dead on July 25 outside a gas station where he worked. According to reports, he was shot dead by men who had earlier assaulted his co-worker. Authorities said they were trying to ascertain whether the crimes were racially motivated. The community members, meanwhile, demanded probe into the incidents.
