TIME magazine has included two Indian-origin creators in its 2026 TIME100 Creators list.
AI podcaster Dwarkesh Patel and entrepreneur Shama Hyder were recognised among the world's top digital creators.
Patel was honoured in the Leaders category for his Dwarkesh Podcast, which features conversations on AI, science, history and economics and averages more than 1.8 million listeners per episode.
Born in Vadodara, Gujarat, Patel moved to the US at eight and launched the podcast while studying at the University of Texas at Austin. He has interviewed figures including Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Satya Nadella, Jensen Huang and Tony Blair, and says his aim is to foster meaningful debates on AI's future.
The list also includes India-born entrepreneur Shama Hyder, founder of Zen Media.
Born in Margao, Goa, Hyder built the company from a $1,500 startup into a globally recognised agency before exiting the business. TIME recognised her for helping businesses navigate the digital and AI era through her books, LinkedIn content and Substack newsletter.
