Now the fight is between Hillary and Trump

WASHINGTON: It is official. The United States of America just voted for their first ever female presumptive presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton. The arena is locked and the bets have been placed as Democrat candidate Hillary will face off Republican nominee Donald Trump.

A much-awaited conclusion, both the nominees stand poles apart on their policies and principles. While Trump caters to the racists and as Stephen Hawking said recently, "to the lowest denominator," Hillary swept the people of their feet with a promising future. While Democrat candidate Bernie Sanders gave good competition to Clinton, he somehow seemed to lack the lustre the former first lady possesses. Showcasing a small yet loud example of how the country would change when either of them won the 2017 Presidential elections, Hillary and Trump attracted their likes as they spoke out regarding the devastating Orlando massacre.

Speaking to a crowd at Ohio, Clinton called for unity among Americans in the wake of terrorism calling for renewed assault weapons ban. "Today is not a day for politics," she said as she vowed to confront the threat posed by "radical jihadists". Meanwhile Trump, who spoke at New Hampshire, expanded his call for a ban on Muslims entering the United States, insisting it could be done by executive order, and held all Muslims in the US responsible for acts of terror. "The immigration laws of the United States give the president the power to suspend entry into the country of any class of persons that the president deems detrimental to the interests or security of the United States, as he deems appropriate," said Trump.

While Clinton has been an ardent supporter of non-discrimination laws against LGBT Americans and backs same-sex marriage. Trump is opposed to same-sex marriage and has dodged the question of non-discrimination laws in the past.
