Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called former PM Imran Khan as the "greatest liar on the face of the earth" and a cheat whose policies destroyed the nation's economy. In an interview, Sharif talked about the damage that was caused to the nation under Imran’s leadership. "I had never before worried about the future of our nation. Imran has infused society with an endless supply of poison, causing it to become more alienated than ever. He is spreading misinformation and hatred.”
Shehbaz asserted that Khan's reportedly taped chats about a top-secret message from Washington were "undeniable proof" that Imran is the world's biggest liar.
Last week, two audio recordings of informal and private discussions made by Khan in his office were exposed. Khan could be heard in both videos discussing how to fabricate a story about a foreign threat and declaring that they would now "play with the diplomatic cable."

Sharif stated that his predecessor would have to be held accountable for all deliberate criminal activities, "alluding to the purported conversation between Imran and his ministers and principal secretary about how to utilise the cipher for political advantage."

He further said that several world leaders told him about Khan’s personality. "Some called him rude and some called him a narcissist." The PM stated how Khan's decision to abandon the multibillion-dollar infrastructure project known as the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which is a part of China's belt and road strategy, badly impacted Pakistan's relations with China.
