Arun Jaitley to inaugurate Union Bank in UK

The Finance Minister of India, Arun Jaitley will be inaugurating the Union Bank of India on 13^th March, during his two day visit to the UK. Along with Arun Jaitley, this 95 year old bank will also be inaugurated by Mr Arun Tiwari, the Gobal Chairman and Managing Director of Union Bank of India, as well as the Union Bank of India's board of directors.

Arun Tiwari was born on 1^st July 1957. He has a Master of Science degree in Chemistry and has also completed a course in Computer Programming.

Tiwari started his career in Bank of Baroda as a Probationary Officer in 1979. he has worked at almost all major segments in banking, in various sufficiency, such as Zonal Office, Whole sale Banking Branches, General Manager at Corporate Office and MSME and Wealth management.

His occupation at the Bank of Baroda extended over many regions in India as well as overseas. He was the Chief Executive at the centres in Kuala Lampur and Singapore. Tiwari was also the head at Greater Mumbai Zone of Bank of Baroda as a General Manager.

On his advancement as an Executive Director, Arun Tiwari joined the Office of Executive Director at Allahabad Bank from 18^th June 2012. He handled the portforlios of CREDIT, Credit Monitoring, HR, IT, Risk Management, Finance and Accounts, Inspection, Vigilance and Branch Expansion & Support Services.

Tiwari also did a Study Assignment in USA and Europe for export oriented Small Scale Industries in India, under aegis of World Bank.

Tiwari has undergone several trainings and courses at illustrious institutes, such as Kellog School of Management of Northwestern University, Chicago; Arthur D'Little, Boston; Indian School of Business, Hyderabad; NIBM, Pune; Bankers' Training College, Mumbai, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, plus many more.

Tiwari was also a Director on the board of All Bank Finance Ltd. He is also currently one of the Directors on the Board of General Insurance Corporation in India (GIC Re).

Arun Tiwari join the Union Bank office as the Chairman and Managing Director of the bank on 26^th December 2013.
