Britain to host Global Lohana Convention for the first time

Britain to witness the first ever historical convention from 24- 27 April, for the leading Lohana Community members outside India, in Leicester. Hosted by the Lohana Community of United Kingdom in association with Shree Lohana Mahaparishad, this Global Convention aims to pave way and make platforms of Lohanas stronger with the wonderful co-operation of community leaders from India and abroad.

Yogesh Lakhani, President of Lohana Mahajan Parishad, is visiting UK with Secretary Rajiv Rawani, Joint Secretary Shashikant Kanani, Auditor Silpan Karia, Committee Member Yamesh Thakrar, Jai Lakhani and Jai Soneta.

Speaking about the conference, Yogeshbhai told Asian Voice, “According to our constitution, this global conference is supposed to take place once in every five years. However after a gap of 24 years, we have organised this first ever Global conference in Britain. We have a legacy of 105 years and in 2013, under my Presidentship, we have had a very successful conference in Ahmedabad.

“I must give credit to Lohana Community UK President Hemubhai Chandrana (Convener- Global Lohana Convention), and Chetan Amlani, Vice President, Leicester Lohana Mahajan for making arrangements for this conference possible in Britain.

“I must also acknowledge the contributions of Jayanti Chandrana, Chairman, Leicester Lohana Mahajan for offering us the Ram Mandir hall free of cost.”

The aims of this conference includes helping the needy through education loan, scholarship, medical assistance for thalassemia patients, kidney transplantations, financial and coordination helps for NRI Medical tourism etc.

This Global conference is attended by people from different sectors including youth, women, senior citizens, and 15 people will be felicitated through these awards, including 21 years old Vishal Unadkat.

Chief Guest will be Lord Dolar Popat and Guest of Honor will be Pradip Dhamecha, HKS Retail's Thakrar brothers, Durlabhai Lakhani from Paul vegetables, Madhvani group, Bhanubhai Chandrana and Pravinbhai Kotak, who is the MD and Chairman of the Iskcon group of builders, India and will become the President of Shri Mahajan Parishad in July 2015.

On 27th April, delegates will make their way to Dhamecha Lohana Centre, Wembley, for a 'Meet and Greet' event organised by the Lohana Community of North London, followed by lunch.

Lcnl is also hosting a special International Lohana Networking Event on Monday 27th April 2015 from 12.00 noon to 4.00pm at our DLC Centre in South Harrow.
