ABPL Group pays tribute to Arvind Bachubhai Sedani of Quality Foods, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, 15 October 2026, aged 73.
Born in Luanda (Kisumu), Kenya, on 22 November 1952, Arvindbhai played an important role in the growth of Quality Foods, supporting his brothers Piyush and Vipul in building a family grocery business established in Upton Park in 1981 into a leading name in the UK's South Asian supermarket sector. His contribution to the family business and the communities it serves will be remembered with respect.
With the guidance and blessings of their late fathers, Shyam and Krishan will continue the family’s legacy, carrying forward the values of hard work, unity and service that have shaped Quality Foods.
Beyond his business achievements, Arvindbhai will be fondly remembered as a devoted family man, known for his kindness, generosity and selfless service to others.
CB Patel and the entire ABPL Group extend their heartfelt condolences to his wife, Harshaben, children Tina and Shyam and the entire Sedani family.
May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find strength and comfort during this difficult time.

The funeral of the late Arvindbhai Sedani will take place on Thursday, 22 October, at 4:00 pm at Sewardstone Park Cemetery & Crematorium, Netherhouse Farm, Sewardstone Road, London, E4 7RJ.
Following the funeral, everyone is invited to join the family for prasad (a meal) from 5:30 pm at City Pavilion, Collier Row, Romford, RM5 2BH.
