The Bhavan hosted the London release ceremony for Tides of Time: Bharat’s History Through Murals in Parliament, the 51st book by acclaimed author, Padma Bhushan awardee, and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sudha Murty on Friday, 12 June 2026.
The evening opened with a prayer led by Dr M N Nandakumara MBE, Executive Director of The Bhavan London, followed by remarks from Subhanu Saxena, Chairman of The Bhavan London.
His Excellency Kumaran Periasamy, High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom, then formally re-released the book in London. In his address, the High Commissioner praised Mrs Murty’s work in bringing the history and significance of the Parliament murals to a wider audience.
A key highlight was an engaging talk by the author herself.
The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, giving audience members the opportunity to engage directly with the author, followed by a dinner reception. Among attendees also present was former UK Prime Minister Rt Hon Rishi Sunak, Kavita Reddy and N R Narayana Murthy.
