Bollywood heavyweight, Shah Rukh Khan, has achieved a significant global honour, being named among The New York Times 67 Most Stylish People of 2025. The prestigious list, which features global icons from fashion and culture, was released in December 2025, just months after his memorable red-carpet event.
The recognition stems directly from what was his widely-discussed debut at the Met Gala earlier this year. This momentous event took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute gala in New York City.
The 60-year-old actor wore an all-black, custom-designed menswear ensemble by acclaimed Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. It was complemented by opulent accessories, including a crystal- studded pendant and a Bengal Tiger Head Cane, which the NYT stated helped him bring the Met Gala into his orbit." Khan is the only Bollywood actor to be featured on the list alongside Western trendsetters like Jennifer Lawrence and A$AP Rocky, marking a major milestone for Indian representation and demonstrating the growing international influence of Indian design on the world’s most high-profile fashion stage.
