A soul-stirring evening unfolded at OMNOM as audiences gathered for The Smallest Stories to Extraordinary – Life-Changing Conversations, inspired by Dr Priya Virmani’s celebrated book. Designed to uplift and heal, the immersive event invited guests to “come with whatever feels heavy and leave light.”
Central to the evening was Dr Virmani’s storytelling, drawing from ancient Indian wisdom and integrating it with modern psychology and neuroscience, reflecting her two decades of research in wellbeing. The event opened with a tale from Lord Krishna’s childhood, which Dr Virmani linked beautifully to everyday life and spiritual growth.
A heartfelt conversation followed between Dr Virmani and co-host Niharika Khanna, a DEI expert and community leader, delving into themes of flourishing, joy, and emotional resilience. Dr Virmani illuminated the neuroscience behind joy, healthy vs toxic positivity, detachment, and embodied self-care, all through a scientific lens.
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, who wrote the book’s foreword, joined via video with a moving message on kindness and read from the foreword.
Supported by OMNOM, Biz Law UK Ladies Group, Inspiring Indian Women, City Hindus UK, and the South Asian Heritage Trust, the evening culminated in joyful celebration, with the audience rising in a collective movement of joy.
Audience feedback was glowing:
