Book on 'Charotar Na Patidaro ni Gauravgatha' released

“Charotar Na Patidaro ni Gauravgatha “ book was released on 18th February 2024 at Bhikhabhai Auditorium, Charutar Arogya Mandal, Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad.

The book was released by the Chief Guest, Param Pujya Sant Bhagwant Shaheb, Anupam Mission, Mogri, Shri Atul Patel, Chairman, Charutar Arogya Mandal, Dr Amrita Patel, Trustee, Charutar Arogya Mandal, Shri Bhikhubhai Patel, Chairman, Charutar Vidya Mandal, Shri Naginbhai Patel, Ex- President Charusat, Shri Bhagyesh Jha, Retd IAS officer and writer, Shri Kanubhai Patel, Artist.

The book is authored by Shri Bhagyesh Jha and designed by Shri Kanubhai Patel. The book is collectively sponsored by Shri Jagrut Bhatt(Hon secretary - Charutar Arogya Mandal), Shri Surendra Patel(UK), Shri Barindra Patel (UK), Shri. N. C Patel (USA), Shri Yogendra Patel (USA), Dr. Barindra Desai (USA), Shri Paresh Thakar, Shri Vinodbhai Patel(UK), Shri KiranV.C Patel ( UK), Shri Kiran I Patel, Shri Udhyam Amin(UK), Shri Ravi Patel (USA), Shri Nagin Patel(Chaklasi), Shri Vishnu Patel(Mehlav), Shri Pushyant S Patel (UK) , Shri Kaushik Patel, Mafatbhai Patel and Shri Rikesh Patel.

The book was released in the memory of Shri V. C Patel.

Shri Atul Patel said that Patidars, the original global Gujaratis, migrated from central Gujarat to other parts of the state and India; thousands also travelled to the USA, UK, and Kenya seeking better fortunes. He added that the third generation has roots in six, eight or twenty-seven villages of the Charotar region, known as Chha Gaam, sat gam, and satyavish gam in Gujarati. But they don’t know much about the history of their ancestors. This book is an inspiration to them.

Shri Patel insisted that the funds received from this book will be utilized for the treatment of underprivileged patients as Charutar Arogya Mandal provides free or concessional treatment to the underprivileged and for that, Mandal bears a deficit in crores. He said, “We have been able to generate 1 crore from this book till date . We will deliver this book to Patidars who live in several other parts of India and abroad”.

Shri Bhagyesh Jha elaborated that the book describes the main contribution of Patidar in the seven fields including Health, Education, Animal Husbandry, Cooperative, Technology and Industrialization, and Philanthropic activities through various organizations and Spiritual activities.
