Prime Minister Narendra Modi conferred the inaugural 'National Creators Award' at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This award recognises excellence and impact in fields like storytelling, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming, harnessing creativity for positive change.
The award comprises 20 categories, including Best Storyteller, Disruptor of the Year, Celebrity Creator of the Year, Green Champion, Best Creator for Social Change, Most Impactful Agri Creator, Cultural Ambassador of the Year, and International Creator.
Playback singer Maithili Thakur, trained in Indian classical and folk music, was crowned the winner of the 'Cultural Ambassador of The Year' award. The awards received over 150,000 nominations across 20 categories, with nearly 1 million votes cast for digital creators in diverse fields. Notable winners include Nishchay for Best Creator in Gaming, Ankit Baiyanpuria for Best Health and Fitness Creator, Naman Deshmukh for Best Creator in Education, Kabita Singh (from Kabita's Kitchen) for Best Creator in Food, among others.
