Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic clinched the prestigious Miss World 2024 title at a grand event in Mumbai. She is the second Miss World from the Czech Republic after the 2006 winner Tatana Kucharova.
The 71st Miss World pageant, featuring contestants from 112 countries, took place at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska of Poland passed on her crown to the new winner. Miss Lebanon Yasmina Zaytoun secured the first runner-up position, while Aché Abrahams from Trinidad and Tobago and Lesego Chombo from Botswana were among the top four finalists. This event marked Mumbai's debut as the host city for the Miss World pageant, with Bengaluru hosting it 28 years prior.
The dazzling finale this year was co-hosted by Miss World 2013 Megan Young and filmmaker Karan Johar. Singers Neha Kakkar and Tony Kakkar delivered an original performance, while Shaan serenaded the audience. Neha and Tony showcased their hit songs like "Kaala Chashmah" and "Dheeme Dheeme," while Shaan dedicated "Tu Aaj Ki Naari Hai" to all Miss World participants. Although Sini Shetty, representing India, reached the top 8, she narrowly missed securing a spot in the final 4.
