Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, union minister of health and family welfare, opened the Amrita Patel Centre for Public Health at Bhaikaka University, Karamsad-Anand last week in the presence of Rushikesh Patel, Gujarat minister of health & family welfare.
The function was attended by Mitesh Patel, (MP), Dr Ramanbhai Solanki (Nyab Mukhya Dandashri), Yogesh Patel (MLA), Rajesh Patel (president, BJP Anand), Atul Patel (president, Bhaikaka University), Jagrut Bhatt (hon secretary Charutar Arogya Mandal), Dr Amrita Patel (ex- chairman, Charutar Arogya Mandal), Dr Utpala Kharod ( Provost-Bhaikaka university), staff members of the university and other guests.
The health centre will be a vibrant learning hub and an institution for public health professionals of all cadres, paying a befitting tribute to Dr Amrita Patel and her profound vision. The center's mission is to train qualified public health professionals, NGOs, healthcare systems and global health initiatives as well as to offer research facilities to students around the world.
