Tata Advanced Systems Ltd (TASL) has been given a contract by European aerospace giant Airbus to provide the bulk cargo and cargo doors for the A320neo aircraft family. At a brand-new plant in Hyderabad, TASL will manufacture these doors with the aid of cutting-edge robotics and automation technologies. Each ship set will include two cargo doors and one bulk cargo door. Airbus presently procures components and services worth $735 million every year from more than 100 Indian suppliers.
