Anant Ambani , son of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, got engaged to Radhika Merchant, the daughter of Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant, at the Shrinathji Temple in Nathdwara, Rajasthan.
The "Roka" (engagement) ceremony was held in front of family and friends and was blessed by priests from the temple. The young couple spent the day at the temple doing the Raj-bhogshringaar rituals and praying to Lord Shrinathji for his grace on their forthcoming union.
Later, the happy occasion was jointly celebrated by their family and friends. Anant and Radhika's Roka ceremony, which was held at the temple, was confirmed by Parimal Nathwani, Director of Corporate Affairs for Reliance Industries Limited.
Anant Ambani received his education from Brown University in the United States and has since held a number of positions with Reliance Industries, including board positions with Jio Platforms and Reliance Retail Ventures. He is now in charge of RIL's energy division.
Radhika Merchant graduated from New York University with a bachelor's degree in politics and economics. She is a member of the Encore Healthcare Board of Directors.
Though Radhika and Anant were reported to be engaged in 2019, the family did not confirm the news. Radhika has a special bond with the Ambani family and performed at Isha Ambani's sangeet ceremony in 2018.
