The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) convened a meeting in Mumbai to evaluate the performance of the Indian Men's Team in 2022. In the meeting, which was also attended by Indian captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid, the BCCI made a number of significant decisions. According to reports, the BCCI has chosen 20 players for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, which will be held in India in October and November.

At the review meeting, the Board decided that these players will be rotated before the 2023 World Cup. "We examined past performance and made plans for upcoming tournaments, including the ODI World Cup and the World Test Championship. It was a really productive meeting (WTC). We will prioritise international cricket while preventing a dilution of the IPL "a source who was present at the discussion confirmed this.

In fact, in the build-up to this meeting, there were a series of meetings at the BCCI HQ here between the BCCI bigwigs. "On last Saturday, there was a meeting attended by the BCCI office-bearers. In the coming days, you will see a lot of important decisions being taken to improve the health of Indian cricket," a source revealed.

"The issues of player availability, workload management and fitness parameters were also discussed at length during the meeting along with the roadmap to the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023," the BCCI said in a statement release later.
