Actor Sushmita Sen is all set to play the character of popular transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant in her upcoming show ‘Taali.’ Makers of the series released the teaser at the weekend. It highlights Sawant’s inspiring journey, from her college days to her transition and significant contributions to revolutionising the transgender movement in India.

Sushmita’s portrayal of the character seems promising and powerful. The official synopsis reads, “Gaali se Taali tak ke safar ki yeh kahaani. Presenting the story of Shreegauri’s fight for India’s third gender.” Fans on the internet welcomed the teaser and appreciated Sushmita’s presence.
