Six persons, including a close-associate of Canada-based terrorist Arshdeep Singh, and five others supposedly working with the gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Goldy Brar have been detained in the multi-state raids by NIA in three related cases.

Lucky Khokar was in direct and frequent contact with Arshdeep Singh alias Arsh Dala, who has been designated as ‘terrorist’ under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act due to his connection with smuggling of arms, ammunition, explosives and IEDs across international and inter-state borders in India for Khalistani outfits like Khalistan Liberation Force, Babbar Khalsa International and International Sikh Youth Federation.

Others detainees are Lakhvir Singh, r/o Muktsar, Punjab; Harpreet, r/o Moga, Punjab; Dalip Bishnoi, r/o of Fazilka, Punjab; Surinder @Chiku Chaudhary, r/o Mahendragarh, Haryana; and Hari Om, r/o Gurugram, Haryana.

The raids had covered 76 locations across Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, UP, Delhi NCR, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Lucky Khokhar alia Denis, a resident of Bhatinda in Punjab and nabbed from Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan, had carried out recruitment for Dala and received funds from him for conducting terror-related activities. Khokhar provided arms and ammunition to Dala’s associates in Punjab on his directions. The funds received from Dala, NIA said, were also used for a recent killing in Jagraon, Punjab under directions from Arsh.

While Hari Om @ Titu was arrested, Lakhvir Singh was nabbed a day later in connection with a case registered against them and their associates in August last for allegedly attempting to motivate and recruit youth for terror activities by using social media.
