BJP and RSS are behaving like “class bullies” trying to impose their ideas on others for whom they have no respect, said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
“Only a coward tries to impose his will on another person. BJP is like a class bully, like there is one fellow in the class who thinks he is stronger than everybody, bullies everybody, and doesn’t really understand anything. One fine day, someone in the class teaches him a good lesson and he stops bullying. That’s what BJP and RSS are … they are bullies who think they know everything, understand everything and have no respect for anybody,” Rahul said at an election rally in Shillong.
He added “We have to fight them collectively and the way to fight them is through love, affection and through respect for each other’s tradition, culture, language and religion.”
“The reason I am here is because the ideology of BJP, specifically the RSS, is to attack and destroy your culture and tradition, and I am here to tell you that we are standing with you in this fight. We are not going to allow the ideology of BJP and RSS that harm your language and culture. For us, that would not be India. That would be hatred, violence and anger, and our country is not a hateful, violent or angry country,” Rahul said.
