Nine Vande Bharat trains were launched off by PM Narendra Modi through video conference in a single day. These trains would offer quick train connection to 11 states. Speaking at the event, the PM urged every railway employee to always be mindful of "ease of travel" and to give customers a positive experience.

He said the “day is not far off when Vande Bharat will connect every part of the country” while highlighting the government's focus on modernising infrastructure. He added that introduction of Vande Bharat trains was part of that endeavour. With the new introductions, the number of such trains has touched 34. On the increasing popularity of these modern semi-high-speed trains, Modi said over 11 million passengers had already travelled in these trains. The PM said the speed and scale of infrastructure development in the country was matching the aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians. “This (the Vande Bharat trains) matches the aspirations of India's youth, women, professionals, businessmen, and salaried employees,” he added. These trains are especially important for those who want to travel to another city for just a few hours of work, and return the same day, the PM said.

In 11 states - Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gujarat - the nine trains would offer speedier connectivity. Regarding the changes in the railway industry, the PM stated that over the past nine years, cleaner trains and stations have been added.
